Stopping trading is not the same as disabling an account. It is the decisive action users take when they want trading activity to stop immediately.
What stopping trading does
Stopping trading can close open positions at market price, cancel pending orders and stop the trading algorithm on the account. Because it can affect live positions, the confirmation screen should be read carefully.
1. Slide to stop trading
From the account overview, slide the Stop trading control to the right.
2. Confirm the action
Tick the confirmation box after reading the warning. Then confirm that you want to stop all trading.
3. Trading stopped
The dashboard shows the stopped status and confirms that trading activity has halted.
4. Resume trading
When ready, tap Resume trading. Edamame reconnects to the broker and resumes the algorithm.
5. Confirm trading resumed
Once the connection is established and positions are synced, the platform confirms that trading has resumed.
