This is the fastest route for users who do not already have a compatible broker. Opening an eligible XM account through Edamame gives access to the platform at no software cost.
1. Create your Edamame account
Download the Edamame app or use the web app. Tap Create an account and enter your details.
2. Choose “Create a new XM account”
On the broker selection screen, choose the XM route. This connects your onboarding to XM and unlocks the free Edamame access path.
3. Confirm country and legal name
Your country must match your government-issued ID. Your name must be your legal name, exactly as it appears on that document.
4. Choose your VPS server
A VPS keeps Edamame running even when your phone or computer is switched off. Choose the server closest to your region, subject to final availability.
5. Review details and open the XM account
Check every detail before submission. When you confirm, your details are sent to XM for account processing and verification.
6. Enable push notifications
Notifications keep you informed when a trade executes, a position closes or account status changes.
7. Wait for verification
XM verifies the account and sends next-step instructions. You receive a notification when the account is ready.
8. Choose risk level
Select the maximum monthly loss threshold you are comfortable with. Once reached, Edamame is designed to stop opening new positions for the rest of the month.
9. Choose monthly stop loss
Once ready, choose your risk profile and monthly stop-loss threshold, then activate the system.
10. Activate Edamame
Review the confirmation, accept the risk acknowledgment and activate only once you understand how the system will operate.
