If you already have an XM account, you do not need to register a completely new one. Open a new trading account within your existing XM client portal and enter the Edamame partner code, EDAM26. This is a different task from setting up Edamame with XM from scratch, which is for people who do not have an XM account yet.
If your account is inactive, reactivate it first using your registered email address and phone number, before starting Step 1.
Step-by-step
1. Log in to your XM client portal
Open the XM app or website and log in to your existing account. You will see your current trading account on the dashboard. Tap the + button at the top right of your account card to open a new trading account.
2. Select “Real” account
Choose Real (Live Trading) to open a live account that can be used with Edamame.
3. Choose MetaTrader 5 (MT5)
Select MT5 as your platform. Edamame runs exclusively on MT5.
4. Select the Micro account type
Choose Micro. This is the account type confirmed to work with Edamame.
5. Enter your settings and the Edamame partner code
On the “Customize Your Trading Account” screen, you will see your settings: Leverage 1000:1, Base Currency USD, Account Name Micro. Tap “Have a Partner Code? Enter here” and type EDAM26.
6. Confirm the partner code and accept the terms
Check that the Partner Code field shows EDAM26, tick the box to confirm you have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions, then continue.
7. Set your trading account password
Set a password for your new MT5 trading account. This is what you will use to log in to MT5 on your VPS. Save your account number and password, you will need them for setup.

EDAM26. Entering it during account setup is what links your new XM trading account to Edamame’s free access route. The same code works whether you are opening your first XM account or, as here, an additional one.
Reactivate it first, using your registered email address and phone number, then follow the steps above. Reactivating uses the same details XM already has on file, so there is nothing new to submit
