Your risk level is one of the core controls built into Edamame, alongside your monthly stop loss. It determines how much Edamame allocates to each position, without changing the underlying XAU/USD strategy itself.
How it works
A higher risk level increases position sizing, which can amplify both gains and losses. It does not change how the strategy analyses the market, only how much is put behind each trade. No risk setting removes the possibility of losses, so choose a level you are genuinely comfortable holding through a losing month. See Regulation for the full risk picture.
Step-by-step
1. Open risk settings during setup
Your risk level is chosen as part of account setup, whether you get started with XM or connect your existing broker.
2. Review the levels available
Compare the position-sizing behaviour of each level before deciding. If anything is unclear, contact support before you activate..
3. Select your level and set your stop loss
Choose the level that matches your comfort with risk, then set your monthly stop loss alongside it before activating.
FAQ
It controls position sizing, how much Edamame allocates to each trade. It does not change the underlying XAU/USD strategy or how the market is analysed. The strategy itself runs identically at every risk level; only the size of each position changes.
They are set together and both act as controls on downside. Your risk level shapes how large each position is, while your monthly stop loss caps how much you can lose in a given month overall. Confirming both together during setup is what activation ultimately checks for.
A higher risk level increases position sizing, which can amplify both gains and losses. No legitimate trading system can guarantee returns at any risk level, and losses remain possible throughout. Losses remain possible at every risk level, which is why the risk acknowledgment at activation exists.
